Friday of Week 11 in Ordinary Time
2 Cor 11:18,21-30
Mt 6:19-23
Glorify the Lord with me!
Today, there are so many influencers competing for our attention. They influence us towards a certain brand, a certain lifestyle, or a certain belief. This verse from the psalmist made me think that the psalmist is playing an influencer role, getting me to glorify God together with him. He’s asking me to hop on the bandwagon in praising God.
I believe each one of us has that call to be an influencer for God. God has given us different graces, different stories, different temperaments — all these can be made good and become our story to influence others for God. I will share with you mine, as I invite you to glorify the Lord with me.
Last night, God allowed me to see a beautiful full moon with its light reflected by the sea. It made me pray, “My soul glorifies the Lord”. It was so majestic that I ended up thanking God for the beauty I was allowed to behold, while knowing that this is just a fraction of God’s beauty.
This morning, I ate sweet tomatoes. And I know I ate so many things today, but the freshness and the sweetness of tomatoes stood out. Praise be to God for giving us many different flavours.
Last Friday, I nearly stepped on a snake. Praise be to God for keeping me safe. Praise be to him who has given me my guardian angel who I know has been working extremely over time.
Four years ago, God helped me realize my call to be a Catechist. Praise be to God for helping me recognize the mission he has entrusted to me.
These are some of the ones I can think of, and that I would probably share with you and ask you to glorify the Lord with me. And I’m sure you have different ways of inviting me to glorify the Lord with you.
The point I’m trying to make is that each of our lives is worthy of inviting people to glorify our Lord with us. We just need to pray, and perhaps ask our Guardian Angels to let us know what we could share. The goodness of the Lord is in eternal abundance. And even our faults can become happy faults, if surrendered to God. Therefore, I honestly believe that God made it so such that our lives, with our weaknesses, are testaments to the glory of God. Major moments, minor moments, or even the tiniest moments can influence others to glorify God.
What about you? What is your influencer moment towards God? Consistent with the theme of being an influencer, I’d ask you to right in the comments below how you would invite me to glorify God with you.

Prayer: Lord, you’ve called us to bring people to you. Please let us discern moments we could share with others that would help them know you are real.
Thanksgiving: Thank you Lord, for giving me reminders of your real presence.
Stephanie… What a joyful reflection. Thank you
I invite you to (and thank you for) glorify God with me for my daughter and son-in-law‘s new home that they’re moving into this weekend… And also glorify God in many of my friends, daughters and my daughter‘s friends who are carrying a precious life in their wombs.
