“I have much more to say to you but it you cannot bear it now.”
Sometimes we are just not ready to hear the whole truth. Think of a child who asks where babies come from. The parents do not lie, but they also do not give the full answer either. They explain just enough for the child’s age and understanding. The rest will come later when the child is ready. If too much is said too soon, it can confuse more than help.
Jesus does the same with his disciples in John 16:12–15. He tells them, “I have much more to say to you, but you cannot bear it now.” He knows their hearts are already heavy. They are confused, anxious, and not yet ready to understand the full meaning of his suffering, death, and resurrection. So, he does not push. He promises help instead.
Jesus does not leave them in the dark; he leaves them in good hands of the Holy Spirit: “But when the Spirit of truth comes, he will lead you to the complete truth…” The Holy Spirit will guide them gradually, patiently, lovingly. Not all at once, but as they grow and are ready.
That same Spirit is also with us. God does not expect us to know everything today. Sometimes we are not ready to understand why things happen the way they do. But the Spirit walks with us, showing us what we need, when we need it.
Truth is not a one-time download. It is a journey. And we are not on it alone. So, brothers and sisters, if life feels confusing, or if the answers are not clear just yet, do not worry. You are not behind. You are becoming. The Spirit is still speaking, still guiding you, one step at a time.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, help us when we feel unsure. Teach us what we need to know when we are ready. Keep us close and lead us step by step.
Thanksgiving: Jesus, thank You for knowing when we are not ready. Thank You for your patience, and for sending the Spirit to guide us.
”Truth s not a one time download. It is a journey. And we are not on it alone.… You are not behind. You are becoming. The spirit is still speaking, still guiding you, one step at a time.”
Stacey, thank you so much for these Holy Spirit inspired words.
