Tuesday of the 1st Week of Lent
Is 55:10-11
Mt 6:7-15
“…your will be done…”
What is God’s will for me?
Some days, I feel scared that God’s will for me would mean that I have to make a drastic change in my lifestyle. Being a physically-challenged person means that some things relating to mobility which come naturally to able-bodied persons are difficult. But on the other hand, I assume that God has his best interests for me, so perhaps the change might not be drastic.
Then I remember Jesus saying that foxes have dens, birds have nests, but the Son of God has nowhere to put his head down. So, following God’s will means that we will have to step out of our comfort zone and follow Him even when the going gets tough.
Brothers and sisters, I do not know what God’s will is for me up till today. If you would also like to know what His will is for yourself, I hope that we will have the courage this Lent to pray, pick up the Cross that He has laid down for us, listen to His call and follow His will.
